This is the first time I have read a book from this time frame and now I think I am in love =].

Over all the story was very interesting. I did not feel the need to skim over paragraghs this really held my attention.

The best thing about the book is that the females leads were very likable unlike most stories where they are obnoxious, stupid, and want to be the men. They were real, they were soft, they were likable, they were strong without feeling the need to act like they need to wear the pant and turn around act as if they deserve the treatment of the skirt.

The male leads were tortured and somewhat damaged, strong, protective, and yet they still had redeemable qualities.

The romance was very believable. I loved the historical aspect, it was very balanced with the romance. It was just a great adventure!

I LOVED the ending it was very nicely done.

I pretty much could imagine myself in this book. So im very sure that I will be checking out more books from this writer!
